Publication Ethics

At ARV Journals, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. Our ethical policies are designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility in the dissemination of scholarly research. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must :

  • Submit original and unpublished manuscripts that are not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Properly acknowledge and cite all sources that have influenced their work.
  • Avoid all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or image manipulation.
  • Clearly disclose any conflicts of interest or financial support that may influence their research.
  • Ensure that all co-authors have significantly contributed to the work and agree to the final version before submission.
  • Obtain necessary permissions for any copyrighted materials or third-party content included in the manuscript.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of ARV Journals are responsible for :

  • Making fair and unbiased editorial decisions based solely on academic merit, relevance, and originality.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and not using unpublished material for personal advantage.
  • Assigning qualified, independent reviewers and avoiding any conflict of interest in the selection process.
  • Acting promptly on ethical concerns or complaints, following established COPE guidelines when misconduct is suspected.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining publication quality and ethics. They are expected to :

  • Conduct objective, confidential, and constructive reviews that enhance the quality of the manuscript.
  • Evaluate manuscripts based solely on scientific merit without personal or ideological bias.
  • Identify plagiarism, duplication, or data manipulation and report it to the editorial office.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of the manuscript content and not use it for personal research or gain.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

ARV Journals, as the publisher, is committed to :

  • Maintaining the integrity and academic independence of the editorial and peer-review process.
  • Supporting editors in addressing ethical issues and investigating any cases of misconduct or disputes.
  • Ensuring long-term preservation of published content and promoting open access for global dissemination.
  • Implementing and updating policies in line with international ethical standards and COPE best practices.

5. Handling Misconduct

If evidence of misconduct is found—such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical research practices—ARV Journals will :

  • Conduct a thorough and fair investigation.
  • Provide authors with an opportunity to respond.
  • Take appropriate action, which may include rejection, retraction, or correction of the article.
  • Publish a retraction or correction notice when necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

6. Ethical Compliance in Research

Authors must ensure that :

  • Research involving human or animal subjects follows relevant institutional and international ethical guidelines.
  • Proper ethical clearance certificates or approval numbers are provided where applicable.
  • Sensitive data, images, or personal identifiers are handled responsibly and with consent.

7. Transparency And Accountability

ARV Journals promotes a culture of transparency, honesty, and accountability at every stage of publication. All stakeholders are encouraged to report unethical practices to the editorial office, which will address such issues with due diligence and fairness.
