About the Journal
Research Digest: Material Research and Development is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality original research articles, comprehensive reviews, and selected high-impact reprints in the domain of materials science and engineering. The journal serves as a platform for disseminating fundamental and applied studies that advance the understanding of processing–structure–property–function relationships in materials, with the objective of fostering scientific innovation and technological progress.
Published half-yearly, the journal is available in both print and electronic formats, ensuring wide accessibility to the research community.
Scope:
The journal welcomes high-quality submissions in all aspects of materials research. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Synthesis and processing of metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, and hybrid materials.
- Advanced structural and functional characterization, encompassing experimental, computational, and multiscale modelling approaches.
- Intrinsic and extrinsic properties of materials, including mechanical, chemical, thermal, electronic, magnetic, and optical characteristics.
- Nanomaterials and low-dimensional systems, such as graphene, carbon-based nanostructures, quantum dots, and heterostructures.
- Energy and environmental materials, including photovoltaics, electrochemical energy storage (batteries, supercapacitors), fuel cells, photocatalysts, membranes, and sustainable functional systems.
- Biomaterials and soft matter, covering biointerfaces, polymers, hydrogels, protein–material interactions, drug delivery systems, and tissue engineering scaffolds.
- Applications of advanced materials in electronics, optoelectronics, flexible and wearable devices, sensors, catalysis, protective coatings, and structural applications.
